My name is Patricia Jones and I am the owner of the Best Picks Menus and Attractions mini brochure program. My goal is to make sure that when a front line tourism staff member thinks about a restaurant, attraction, or service, your company comes to mind. I will also make sure that a portable marketing piece, your mini brochure, is handy for them to use as a tool when they are referring you to their guests. This messaging system, combined with your company's reputation for good product and service, is a solid marketing program that fits even the tightest of marketing budgets.

So how do I make you #1 in the minds of the front-line? With 3 key elements:


1. Portable Pieces - I will make you a super nice mini brochure with a targeted marketing message. This mini brochure will showcase all of your company's benefits and will have at least one call-to-action on it (phone number, address, web site, etc.). The mini brochure will be 4 colours inside and out, printed on recycled card stock. I make sure that the quality of your mini brochure is a reflection of the quality your customers can expect from you.

2. Targeted Distribution - We will then distribute your mini brochure to key accommodation and high tourist traffic locations every week as well as cover all of the other accommodations in your area through our binder and binder inserts program.

When we deliver your mini brochure to our locations, we have the front desks sign off to ensure that they have received your mini. This is an excellent opportunity for us to engage the front line staff. If you have a message you would like us to relay, call us and we will get it to them. Think of us as friendly faces visiting the front line staff reminding them about you and leaving a piece of you with them.

3. Front line Education - We provide our locations with a Best Picks Quick Facts sheet with information on each of our clients to help facilitate inquiries and educate front line staff on location.

I currently work with over 180 clients in Whistler, Victoria, Banff, and Canmore. I work together with each Best Picks participant to make sure we stretch their marketing dollar the furthest. Most clients use their mini as a multi-purpose piece. Restaurants often use them as business cards and put them in billfolds, activity companies give them to their guides to hand out which encourages repeat business, and company sales people use them as trade show pieces and as a mail out piece.

The Bottom Line:

Hands down I offer the best bang for buck: 9.85 cents a piece for each full colour 4 panel mini brochure. I have compared our price and product to every mini brochure producer in North America and we are the best value!!

What about distribution costs? It costs about $1 a month to be at each location. Remember, we go there 4 times a month. It's all about the numbers, so let's talk about the return on your investment. Basically, if you chop off 1/3 of the locations, and choose what you feel would be your top 35 producing locations, the program costs $2 per location a month.
If you have a 10% marketing budget, the question to ask yourself is:
